Why Are We Concerned?
Cheltenham Borough Council are meant to be public servants, not act as dictators. This is our money which they are using and which we have entrusted them with. Are you not aggrieved they are spending it on a political project without even consulting you first? The Cheltenham 2030 plans show how they are planning to radically reconfigure our beautiful Cotswolds town without giving you a say in the matter. In the meantime, more and more people are put into hardship and more small businesses in Cheltenham are going under because of the actions of levying absurd business rates which only the big corporations can afford.
The Cheltenham 2030 Masterplan is fluffily dressed up to look like it is creating greener spaces and more environmentally friendly ways of living such as improved cycle lanes, however it is only when you look into the details the real agenda becomes apparent. You are probably aware of the Ultra Low Emission Zones (ULEZ) which have been introduced in London and Birmingham, and the Cheltenham 2030 Masterplan makes it clear on page 19 that this is the direction they are intending to take us:
"Explore the feasibility of introducing clean air zones within Cheltenham Town Centre, similar to schemes recently introduced in other areas such as Bath and Birmingham."
We encourage you to read the Cheltenham 2030 plans yourself, however our purpose is to show you that Cheltenham 2030 is not a local-level initiative but rather one which is taking place all across the UK and around the world based on a global agenda set by the United Nations. This is stated in black and white on the Climate Emergency Declaration which can be found on the CBC website:
"In declaring a climate emergency, the council joined over 300 district, county, unitary and metropolitan councils and combined authorities/city regions (as of October 2020) with similar ambitions to become carbon neutral."
If we dive into the Cheltenham 2030 Net-Zero Masterplan, page 19 quotes:
"Addressing the climate emergency goes beyond simply reducing our GHG emissions and the council knows it cannot achieve the 2030 target alone. We need a tight-knit community that can adapt to coming changes and knows where to turn in the face of a crisis. By working in partnership with organisations and residents across the borough, we can have greater power to influence others and bring about the necessary behaviour change and action needed to achieve our collective global goal".
It gets even more dystopian than this when you consider what is happening in Oxford where the Net Zero project is being used to bring in “15-minute cities”. This is being sold on the idea that everything you need will be within 15 minutes walking distance of where you live, and you won’t need a car for anything else. I guess this is fine if you have all the amenities on your doorstep, but what if you don’t? What if you are disabled, pregnant, elderly, or just simply want to visit friends and family outside your “zone”? What if you are a tradesman? Where will all the local businesses go if people outside the zone can’t access them? Combined with the higher business charges CBC are levying, this will ultimately lead to the collapse of small businesses, meaning everything will be done online through the likes of Amazon. Can you imagine Cheltenham without all of our local butchers, local grocers, local pubs and local restaurants?
If you don’t think this won’t happen, then please look at what is taking shape in Oxford right now:

The 15-minute City concept is a Globalist agenda coming direct from the United Nations and World Economic Forum. We provide the link here so that you can see the alarming similarity between the local plan and the global plan:
